SchoolLink Online Grade Book and Student Information System

The mission of SchoolLink is to enhance communication among K-12 teachers, parents, and students by providing an innovative tool, unsurpassed in its ease of use and sophistication. The ultimate goal is to increase parental involvement in our children’s education and thus pave the way for better student performance.

“Parental Involvement has a direct impact on Student Achievement”

For years, educators have shared the common goal of consistently trying  to improve academic performance. The pressure to reach this goal is even greater now as mandates like the “No Child Left behind Act” raise the standard for what constitutes academic improvement. These educators know very well that parental involvement has a direct impact on student achievement. Teachers need the support of parents to maximize their impact on students. School administrators need encouragement and cooperation from parents to successfully carry out their duties. Without a strong partnership between family and schools, this goal of improved student performance remains out of reach.

SchoolLink has found a unique way to bridge the gap between home life and campus life, to give parents an active role in their child’s education and improve student success.

The challenges schools face in getting parents involved arise mainly from communication barriers as schools are trying to pass important information through the student. Elementary students may not accurately portray details that parents need, simply due to lack of understanding or lack of ability to retain the information. High school students may pass on only partial details and filter what information reaches their parents. And students of all ages tend to be forgetful at times about assignments, dates, and other important details.

SchoolLink eliminates the need for teachers to use students as the messengers. Now there is an easy and reliable source for parents and students to communicate directly with one another. With current and accurate information, parents can be proactive about their child’s education.
